The use of digestive enzymes, taken with each meal, can be of great benefit. Plant digestive enzymes are active under any pH the stomach will encounter and are not dependant upon the stomach first lowering its pH with every meal before the enzymes begin to work. If the foods are digested quickly and completely, then less allergic reactions are likely. However the enzymes must be of a very high quality, must be 100% plant based, and generally should be broad spectrum.
Each capsule contains 500 mg of super quality Plant Enzymes supplying live food enzymes for digestion.
Ingredients per capsule:
Protease
I .......................................(41,437 UHT)
Protease
II ......................................(4,500
PC)
Protease
III .....................................(57
SAP)
Protease
IV .....................................(66,700 PU)
Protease
V ......................................(76,650 PU)
Bromelain
........................................(7,500 FCC)
Protease
- breaks down proteins. Without proper protein digestion a whole host of
health problems can develope. Some of these are allergies, leaky gut
syndrome, toxic gut, and even some skin diseases like psoriasis. Also the
proteases play a very large part in keeping the intestine free of yeast
(including candida), bacteria, protazoa and other parasites. Bromelain is an
excellent protein digester and is able to work both in the stomach and small
intestine.
Amylase
...........................................(11,812 UD)
Carbohydrates are one of the three major food groups needed for proper nutrition. Amylase is the digestive enzyme needed to digest carbohydrates. If carbohydrates are not properly broken down before they are absorbed, serious health consequences can
occur for example chronic watery diarrhea.
Lactase
...........................................(544 ILAC)
Lactase is the enzyme in the small intestine that digests lactose (the naturally occurring sugar in milk). A few children and many people after childhood do not produce sufficient lactase, resulting in impaired ability to digest milk. These people are lactose intolerant and often suffer from symptoms including cramps, gas, and
diarrhea.
Lipase
.............................................(469
UL)
Lipase is an enzyme that is used by the body to break down dietary fats into an absorbable form.
When lipase levels are insufficient to break down dietary fats, greasy, light-colored stools ensue; this condition is called
steatorrhea. When added to a meal as a supplement, it digests dietary fat, relieving the gallbladder, liver and the pancreas, which would otherwise need to produce the requisite enzymes. Protein absorption from fatty foods such as fish or seeds can be improved by incorporating supplemental lipase enzymes in the diet.
Cellulase .....................................................(169 UC)
Cellulase breaks down dietary fiber and is found only in plants and plant
enzymes. It is absent from both pancreatic enzymes produced by the body or
from pancreactic enzymes found in animal source digestive enzymes. Cellulase, which is not found in the human system, breaks the bonds found in fiber. By disrupting the structure of the fiber matrices or cell walls which envelop most of the nutrients in plants, cellulase increases the nutritional value of fruits and vegetables.
Alpha Galactosidase ..................................(19 GALU)
ALPHA GALATOSIDASE works on poly-saccharides (primarily raffinose, stacchiose, and melibiosc)
which are typically found in legumes and are not digestible in the small intestine. As these sugars are not absorbed, they pass into the large intestine. In the large intestine, these sugars are fermented by native microbial flora
and produce gas resulting in bloating, pain and general discomfort.
Maltase .....................................................(57 DP)
Maltase digests maltose, malt and grain sugars, and may help relieve environmental sensitivities and allergies. Maltase
also will break down unused glycogen in muscle. Glycogen is a thick, sticky substance that is converted from sugars and starches and is stored in your muscle cells for future use. If stored glycogen continues to build up in the muscle tissues, it leads to progressive muscle weakness and degeneration.
Peptizyme SP ............................................(187 SP)
Peptizyme SP is an organic, proteolytic enzyme that has been used in China for centuries to promote healthy breathing. Although it is little known in the United States, Peptizyme SP is gaining enormous popularity in Europe and around the world. In a study conducted in Japan, researchers there saw superb benefits with Peptizyme SP in thinning nasal mucus and easing breathing (Majima 1988).
It helps digest fat and reduce deposits of adipose and cholesterol, useful for people with a high fat intake.
Invertase ................................................(37 INVU)
Invertase supports digestion of Sucrose(table sugar) to glucose (absorbable form).
Beneficial in helping prevent gastrointestinal problems and discomfort.
Pectinase .............................................(28 ENDOPGU)
Pectinase-breaks down carbohydrates such as pectin (found in many fruits).
Glucoamylase .......................................(7,500 FCC)
Glucoamylase - further breaks down and digests carbohydrates, starches, and sugars; in particular, maltose sugar and polysaccharides.
